Some sports ramblings..
* WI only gets #15 after making a joke out of Auburn and Auburn ends up one ahead of us. Say what?
* USC v. Texas was an unbelievable game. Caught the last half of 4th Q last night. Can’t say I’ve seen a better ending in a while. Just nuts.
* Someone mentioned a rumor that if Green Bay or New Orleans picks Reggie Bush from USC that he won’t go. What’s with these people these days that feel they can pick who drafts them? (Cough Eli Manning). If that info. is true or not, it’s not confirmed.
* Brewers signed Dan Kolb to a one year deal I saw. Getting excited about them for 06. Welcome back!
* Unfortunately the Bucks lost last night. I thought they had the game.

Old school bias! Is all I have to say about the final rankings. You don’t have to look any further than cnnsi.com’s college football “guru” Stewart Mandel’s final ranking. He actually has a 5 loss team still ranked??? Of course, it’s Michigan, how could we not keep them ranked. After losing to a less than quality Nebraska team. 5 loses!!!!! Yet Wisconsin, who throughly dominated both sides of the ball, against a team that is projected to be a dominate force next year, only moves up three spots, and still behind this team??? Logic? No, old school thinking!! It just shows how laugable these coaches and writers take this ranking system. Now let’s look ahead for the first ranking of next year…I’m precicting Wisconsin will be ranked behind Auburn, and several other teams who have no business be ranked ahead of us(Michigan, Iowa, Mich St., etc.). Wisconsin is returning a majority of starters, and has a great chance of being a National title contender, but the first rankings will effect us throught the season, since they count in the BCS rankings. Just as it did, when Wisconsin made it’s two straight wins in the Rose Bowl, and should have been in consideration for the National title. Of course there rankings were effected dramtically by the crappy early rankings, and were not able to overcome this. Of course the “midwest” based writers, are basically Chicago writers, and are so askewed, that they wouldn’t know a good team, if it lined up in front of them. Oh wait, unless it’s the cubs(in denial that White Socks won, and cubs are the ugly step sister now), Bear(only 1 title), Bulls(Sold every soul they cold get there hands on, to the devil) or Northwestern??? LOL!!!!!!!!!!
What about the way Marquette spanked UCONN the other night? Even YOU thought Marquette would lose but they showed everyone! Now, if only they can keep it up all year – except if they play WI then WI has to win.
If the rumor about Reggie Bush is true, I hope the Packers are smart enough to pass up someone like that. We don’t need any overinflated egos on our team. I think we have had enough of that!
Yeah I forgot about the Marquette game. (duh) They smacked up UConn big time! I couldn’t believe the 3′s and the shots they were making. It was an electrifying game for sure!
Another shot at Chicago football fans? So why is it, Chicago has had so many different professinal football teams, and all but one of them has either gone under, or moved to another city. I can guarantee if WI had the Packers, and got a Milwaukee frachise, they’d both be sold out every game, for eternity, like the Packers are currently!!! Chicago fans suck as bad as there teams do! Prediction, Bears lose first game they play. No “O” means there “D” is going to run down, like they have started to look like at the end of the season. Oh and Urslacker(Urlacher) is overpaid. He makes one hit a game, a few team tackles, and whiffs several times, trying to make that one big hit he makes. I’ll take Nick Barnett over him, let alone Ray Lewis over him.
Urlacher – DEF player of the year… I guess.. we know no one on the offense of the Bears would ever have a chance (for player of the year) that’s for sure.
He wasn’t even the best player this year on there defense. What a joke!
